VW Tiguan Recall Over Software Stall Risk

Volkswagen is recalling just under 50,000 Tiguan SUVs built between March and August 2025 after a Body Control Module software fault caused a test vehicle to lose all motive power, exterior lights and the rearview camera. No US incidents are known, but dealers must perform a wired software update because the module cannot be patched over the air.
