Canonical is closing its Ubuntu Pastebin and demoting official IRC channels, moving Ubuntu chat to Matrix. Aaron Rainbolt confirmed IRC channels will no longer be official, with staff absent. The Ubuntu Wiki still lists IRC servers on Libera Chat.
