British Columbia moved to permanent Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7) on March 8, 2026, eliminating the fall back to UTC-8. Postgres timestamptz columns store UTC and convert using current timezone rules, so future appointments stored before the change will return incorrect local times after the rule update.
