Apple rebuilt Siri from the ground up for iOS 27, delaying its release. Mike Rockwell, who took over Siri leadership last year, said the team scrapped an incremental version because it did not deliver the desired vision. The new Siri is natively multimodal, privacy-focused, and available across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, Vision Pro, CarPlay, and AirPods.
