Microsoft fixes Dell PC overheating bug

Microsoft released out-of-band updates KB5121767 and KB5121768 to fix an Intel Innovation Platform Framework driver incompatibility on certain Dell models. The bug caused performance drops, overheating, and random shutdowns. The fix clears affected devices for the July 2026 Patch Tuesday security update on Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2.
