Synchrony Financial, issuer of Amazon, Walmart, and Lowe's store cards, is working with OpenAI to let shoppers pay inside ChatGPT. General-purpose cards take six to twelve months; store cards take longer. Synchrony is also in talks with Anthropic and Google for Claude and Gemini.
