PlanetScale recommends shared-schema over schema-per-tenant or database-per-tenant for Postgres multi-tenancy. Shared-schema is the only true multi-tenancy method in a relational database. The company advises against relying on Postgres RLS and notes that one database cluster can contain many logical databases.
