AUSTRAC canceled, suspended, or refused to renew 45 crypto and remittance registrations over the past year, targeting inactive, insolvent, or risky providers. The regulator canceled GetCoins' virtual asset registration in June, disrupting organized cryptocurrency investment scams. Businesses whose registrations were canceled can no longer operate.
