General Atlantic is in talks to lead the first outside funding round for Kling AI, the video arm of Kuaishou, seeking over $2bn at an $18bn valuation. Beijing has told leading AI firms to refuse US capital without clearance, making the deal politically risky. Kling's annual recurring revenue reached $500mn in March.
