EV Owners Happier Than Gas Car Owners

Battery electric vehicles posted the largest gains in JD Power's 2026 APEAL study, with a 22-point year-over-year increase. BEVs outperformed internal combustion engine vehicles in nearly every category, with a 109-point advantage in powertrain satisfaction. The study surveyed 78,514 owners after 90 days of ownership.
