Canada's Big Six Banks Plan Tokenized Deposit Network

Canada's six largest banks, including RBC, TD and Scotiabank, are forming a joint venture to test a Canadian-dollar tokenized deposit system for interbank transfers. The first phase moves digital commercial deposits between participating institutions, with a longer-term goal of linking to other digital asset ecosystems. The project does not yet commit the banks to issuing tokenized deposits.
