Samsung Electronics' DS division plans to increase DRAM and NAND prices for smartphones by 7% to 10%. Negotiations with Chinese smartphone makers are already underway. Apple will be asked back to the negotiating table in Q4. Even Samsung's own smartphone division will be affected, as the DS and DX divisions operate separately.
