Quantum attacks on crypto may first appear as unexplained wallet breaches, not Satoshi Nakamoto thefts, says Quantus founder Christopher Smith. A quantum computer could derive private keys from onchain public keys, leaving no forensic evidence. Smith estimates a 50-50 chance of such capability by 2028.
