Rolls-Royce Taps ŠKODA JS for Nuclear Safety Hardware

ŠKODA JS will design and manufacture Control Rod Drive Mechanisms for Rolls-Royce SMR's 470 MW reactors, under a deal worth about 1 billion Czech Koruna (roughly £35 million) per power station. The Czech supplier, state-owned since 2022, follows an earlier memorandum with Rolls-Royce to deploy up to 3 GW in the Czech Republic.
