Lucid cuts 18% of staff as EV demand weakens

Lucid Group is eliminating about 18 percent of its workforce, including full-time employees, contractors, and hourly production workers. The cuts mark at least the second round of layoffs this year as the company faces wavering electric vehicle demand. Lucid expects roughly $32 million in cash charges from the workforce reduction.
