Mount Royal University in Calgary confirmed hackers stole data from its H drive and wiped a J drive in a June 17 cyberattack. The CMD Organization threat group claimed the attack, demanded a 30 BTC ransom (around $1.9 million), and published samples including passport scans. Recovery may take weeks to months.
