Crypto's security nightmare won't be solved by ordinary audits

North Korea's Lazarus Group has stolen over $2.2 billion since 2022. The crypto industry tripled code audits in that period, but neither incident counts nor stolen amounts declined. Oak Security research found most exploits bypass audited code by targeting human vectors like compromised private keys and governance manipulation.
