Mozilla speeds Firefox release schedule to biweekly

Mozilla is shifting Firefox Desktop and Android from a 4-week to a 2-week release cadence starting September 2026, as announced by engineering director Sylvestre Ledru. Firefox 155 is now targeted for September 1, 2026. The next ESR release, Firefox 153, arrives July 21 with PDF merging, QR code generation, and HDR video support on Windows.
