LG Monitors Install Adware on Windows PCs

Connecting certain LG monitors to Windows PCs triggers automatic installation of the LG Monitor App Installer, which displays pop-up ads for McAfee antivirus subscriptions. Gamers Nexus reproduced the behavior with an LG UltraGear 34GX900A-B and a three-year-old LG UltraFine 32UN880-B. The app ran at startup and recommended McAfee 31 out of 32 consecutive boots.
