EU Cyber Resilience Act Hits Irish Software Firms

The EU Cyber Resilience Act's first deadline on 11 September activated Article 14 reporting duties for Irish companies that develop or market software under their own name. Firms must report actively exploited vulnerabilities within 24 hours and severe incidents within 72 hours. Full technical requirements and fines of up to 2.5pc of global turnover or €15m arrive in December 2027.
