Pixel battery life jumps after turning off default settings

A Pixel user switched the preferred network type from 5G to LTE, turned off Always-on Display, and replaced Lift to check phone with Tap to check phone. These changes produced a noticeable overnight improvement in battery life without degrading the Pixel experience. Adaptive Battery was left enabled.
