BYD hires 1.02 million workers total

BYD chairman Wang Chuanfu announced the company now has 1.02 million employees, surpassing the combined headcount of Toyota, GM, Ford, and Tesla. This figure includes 120,000 R&D engineers and 165,000 staff from its contract manufacturer BYD Electronic, though only 60,000 workers are based outside China.
