Samsung created a new robotics division called RX, or Robotics eXperience, reporting directly to CEO TM Roh. Executive Vice President Dongkun Lee, formerly of Hyundai and Boston Dynamics, leads strategy. Samsung plans research hubs in the U.S., China, and Japan and intends to start manufacturing humanoid robots this year, with a $13 billion investment in a Gumi, Korea facility.
