Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 series is now as thin as the Galaxy Note phones millions used. The Fold 7 measured 8.9mm folded, nearly identical to the Note 9's 8.8mm. The Fold 8 is rumored at 9.7mm, close to the original Note's 9.65mm. Thickness is no longer a major foldable compromise.
