Researchers from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology, and University of Stuttgart built quantum memory from 3D-nanoprinted light cages filled with atomic vapor. The open structure lets cesium atoms diffuse in days instead of months. Tests showed no degradation after five years.
