AMD showed working 12-core and 16-core Zen 3 X3D prototypes in 2023 but never released a 16-core X3D chip for AM4. The 5950X3D would have been a fitting flagship for the platform's 10th anniversary, offering creators and enthusiasts a meaningful upgrade over the 5800X3D.
