Jeep rear seating has always been cramped

A Jeep enthusiast criticizes the rear seating in nearly every Jeep since 1941. The narrow bench between wheel humps fits only 1.5 people, while rivals like the Toyota Land Cruiser seat seven. Even the CJ-2A and later Wranglers kept this configuration, wasting space that could hold jump seats.
