Claude Code hook forces tests before task completion

Claude Code hooks run shell commands at lifecycle events. A TaskCompleted hook runs npm test and blocks completion with exit code 2 if tests fail, sending failure output back to Claude. The hook lives in.claude/hooks/ and registers in.claude/settings.json.
