A SellCell study estimates a $2,000 foldable iPhone could lose $1,292 in value within 12 months, based on current foldable depreciation trends. Foldables lose 64.6% of value on average after a year, the worst rate of any smartphone category. Apple's iPhone 16 lineup retained 51.5% of value, outperforming competitors.
