US Launches Google-Backed AI Government Portal

The US government launched America.gov, an AI-powered portal drawing on more than 29,000 official sources to answer questions about benefits, forms, fees, deadlines and eligibility. It supports PDF uploads and voice input. At launch it only provides information, with forms, applications and renewals planned from 2027. Google is helping power the platform.
