Daihatsu Updates Kei Vans For $7,200

Daihatsu announced minor upgrades for the Hijet Cargo and Atrai kei vans, focusing on safety to meet Japanese regulations and compete with the Suzuki Every. The 2026 update enhances the Daihatsu Smart Assist system with improved detection of bicycles, oncoming vehicles, and pedestrians. The exterior remains unchanged from 2021, but more Hijet Cargo variants now include LED headlights. The Atrai gains a digital instrument cluster, while both vans offer optional infotainment screens and a rear bed accessory.
