New data from the James Webb Space Telescope and Hubble show Terzan 5, a star cluster near the Milky Way's core, contains at least four star generations born between 12.5 billion and 2.5 billion years ago. This suggests it is the remnant of a larger galaxy that fed stars into the Milky Way's bulge.
