Sodium-ion batteries enter mass-produced EVs

Changan's Nevo AO6, the first mass-produced EV with a sodium-ion battery, will launch later this year. CATL supplies the battery, which retains 90% capacity at -40°C and didn't catch fire when sawed in half. Sodium-ion batteries could challenge lithium's dominance in budget EVs and grid storage.
