Google: Vulnerability Disclosures Double to 10,740

Google's Threat Intelligence Group reported Wednesday that vulnerability disclosures doubled from 5,045 in January to 10,740 in August. Exploited vulnerabilities already hit 141 this year, surpassing 2025's 127. AI tools are accelerating weaponization of patched bugs, with one BeyondTrust flaw exploited by six threat clusters within seven days of disclosure.
