Amazon Destroys Rare Books for AI Training

Amazon is buying rare books, cutting off their spines, and scanning them for AI training at its VGT3 facility in Las Vegas. A tracking device placed in a rare book by 404 Media confirmed the delivery. Amazon says it purchases books through commercial channels to improve customer products.
