Arewefastyet, an automatic benchmarking tool for Vitess, uses PlanetScale's Insights tool to monitor database performance. Insights detected two slow queries, and optimizing them resulted in an 85% decrease in query latency. The p95 query latency dropped from around 40 ms after the improvements.
