A new ransomware family called GodDamn, a rebrand of Beast and Monster ransomware, uses the PoisonX kernel driver to disable security software. First spotted on May 21, 2026, it was developed by a threat actor tracked as Hyadina. The driver was signed by Microsoft, enabling a bring your own vulnerable driver attack.
