Rivian To Challenge Tesla FSD Later This Year, CEO Thinks

Rivian will launch full supervised point-to-point self-driving in Gen 2 vehicles and R2 models by year-end. CEO RJ Scaringe says the system will mirror Tesla FSD functionality. The feature uses more sensors than Tesla's approach, aligning with Waymo's model. Rivian signed a $1.25 billion deal with Uber for 50,000 fully autonomous vehicles.
