Nvidia launches RTX Spark superchip for AI PCs

Nvidia unveiled the RTX Spark, a 1-petaflop CPU dubbed a 'superchip,' designed to run AI agents like OpenClaw or Hermes Agent securely. The chip will be available in fall 2024 from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, MSI, with Acer and Gigabyte to follow. PCs feature secure sandboxes co-developed with Microsoft and support local large language models via robust CPU, GPU, RAM, and CUDA software. The RTX Spark enables faster AI performance, improved image quality, and AI features in over 1,000 games and apps. Nvidia has secured commitments from more than 100 Windows software makers, targeting creators and gamers with enhanced AI capabilities. This marks a strategic shift toward AI-powered PCs, positioning RTX Spark as a competitive alternative to traditional CPU offerings.
