University of Waterloo Rocketry Team launched its liquid bi-propellant rocket Polaris to 63,497 feet at the 2026 Launch Canada Challenge in Timmins, Ont., breaking the previous amateur world record of 56,590 feet. The roughly 100-member team's rocket descended without a hitch, allowing sensor data analysis.
