Roman Telescope's Coronagraph Tests New Tech

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope carries a coronagraph with two palm-sized deformable mirrors, each with about 2,300 actuators, to directly capture starlight reflected off a planet for the first time. The experimental system will test adaptive optics in space for the first time.
