Aftermarket Battery Boosts McLaren P1 Range, Cuts Weight

V Engineering developed a 12.4 kWh aftermarket lithium-ion battery for the McLaren P1, replacing the original 4.72 kWh unit. The new battery adds roughly 15.7 electric miles versus the original six and cuts weight by 51 pounds. Installations start spring 2027.
