AMD Adds GDDR7 Support to Linux GPU Drivers

AMD has begun adding GDDR7 memory support and new graphics IP blocks to its open-source Linux kernel driver, signaling software enablement for next-generation RDNA 5 GPUs. The patches include IH 8.0 and NBIF 7.10, following earlier work on DCN6 and GFX 13.0.x. AMD has not confirmed RDNA 5 details or a launch schedule.
