17 EU member states eye 'cross-border' autonomous driving tests

Seventeen EU member states signed a joint declaration of intent to coordinate cross-border autonomous vehicle testing in regular traffic. The pact, based on a Germany-France-Luxembourg draft, aims to harmonize safety, technology, and infrastructure regulations. €20 million from the Connecting Europe Facility will fund digital infrastructure development via a tender starting later this month.
