Seres courts TikTok's AI arm with new EV brand

Seres unveiled the Aiva brand and its Aiva Origin Concept, targeting younger buyers. The first production model, the Aiva ME7, debuts in 2026. Aiva is backed by Seres, Chongqing state investors, and CATL. The brand partners with ByteDance's Volcengine for AI and cloud technologies, not autonomous driving.
