Hesai Technology, a Shanghai lidar maker blacklisted by the U.S. Defense Department in 2024, faces accusations that its sensors could open U.S. infrastructure to cyberthreats. Hesai sensors are integrated into Nvidia's autonomous vehicle platforms and used at New York's JFK Airport. CEO David Li denies the security claims.
