HMRC is inviting suppliers to bid for a contract worth up to £500 million to run and update the National Insurance and PAYE System (NPS). The legacy system, introduced in 2009, needs a more agile, service-oriented architecture with real-time processing. The tender notice arrives in September, with work starting June 2027.
