Samsung Heavy to build 50MW floating AI data centers

Samsung Heavy Industries signed a three-way agreement with Capital Clean Energy Carriers and Lloyd's Register to commercialize a 50MW floating data center. The design pairs seawater cooling with solid oxide fuel cells running on LNG for onboard power. Shipowners will buy the platforms and lease capacity to operators on long-term contracts.
