ZF Lifetec launches infrared seatbelt system

Components supplier ZF Lifetec begins series production this month of an infrared belt designed for new vehicles required by EU laws as of 7 July. The system uses infrared cameras to detect seatbelt misuse, solving detection issues caused by optical reflections or identical colors that confuse conventional RGB cameras.
