Chery Auto recalls 8,878 Omoda 5 SUVs in Malaysia after a 2023 model lost its rear axle on October 6. The regulator suspended new registrations and ordered a technical audit of the production line and supplier. This is the brand's second recall in Malaysia for rear axle defects.
